Esther Sekyi (a form 1 student – JHS)

My name is Esther Sekyi.
I attend Presbyterian Basic School and am in JHS 1. Today, I share my story and appreciate Elizabeth’s Girl Child Education Foundation. I thank the foundation for being merciful and showing me love. I also appreciate those providing support to the foundation. I want to say that the foundation has been so kind to me since Madam Elizabeth came to teach in my school.

She has done many things for me, and I appreciate whatever she has done for me. I was in primary 3 when I met Madam Elizabeth when she came to do her research/teach in our school. She later travelled and thought about me so much while she was away. However, I stopped school at this level due to financial constraints and a broken home.

When I became a school dropout, I helped my mother sell, carrying fried corn and groundnuts on my head to help feed the family. When Madam Elizabeth heard my story, she told my family she would take care of me and give me a scholarship by providing all my basic and school needs, such as uniforms, shoes, books, socks, pens, pencils, mathematical sets, extra class fees, printing and feeding fees, hospital bills, and many more.

Now, I am in school and JHS 1. I will soon be a JHS graduate and proceed to the next education level. My family and I say that God bless Elizabeth’s Girl Child Education Foundation.
